Colegio Base, founded in 1962, is a private, family-owned, independent Spanish school outside the state direct-grant system. The school provides a quality education at all levels from the nursery years through infants, primary and the secondary level, and up to the pre-university years of Baccalaureate, finishing at 18 years of age.
The school premises are located on two seperate sites: a purpose-designed building on the north side of Madrid (Fernan Nuñez St) that houses Nursery & Infants (1 to 5 years of age) with

school buildings located on the outskirts of Madrid, in the suburban area of La Moraleja (Camino Ancho, no 10) for Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate.
The whole school falls within the category of a medium-sized educational centre with 950 pupils registered at the present time, thus reaping the advantages of not being affected by the problems of massification seen in larger schools nor by the lack of specific facilities, for example, for younger pupils found in smaller ones.
